The Atlanta Falcons’ week three win put the team in a three-way tie for second in their division and gave Atlanta confidence heading into a winnable game at home against the Browns. A win against Cleveland next weekend and suddenly the Falcons could find their way back into the wildcard conversation.

While Brady’s Bucs have looked rough through the first three weeks and the Saints and Panthers are lost offensively Atlanta won’t compete for the division this season. However, the division struggles are indications of a great window for the Falcons next season and consistent chances to steal wins within their own division this year.

There is an argument to be made the Atlanta Falcons could become a relevant team late with the extended playoffs and playing within such a poor division.

Before we jump too far ahead, however, let’s take a look back at Sunday’s win and what the most important takeaways for the Falcons were in week three.
