4 Lasting takeaways from the Atlanta Falcons win in Seattle
By Nick Halden
The Atlanta Falcons finally finished a game on Sunday putting themselves at 1-2 on the season and tying them with the Panthers and Saints for second in the division. Tampa Bay took their first loss of the season as well to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers keeping the division race tight-headed into week four.
While the Falcons obviously lack the roster to challenge the Bucs it isn’t out of the realm of possibility Atlanta contends for the second spot in the division. Matt Rhule’s Panthers are a complete mess and Atlanta should have already beaten Jameis Winston and the Saints once.
All three teams are going to be fighting for wins this season and it appears the Falcons may have the best offense of the three. Keeping themselves in the wildcard hunt much as they did last season is the ceiling for Atlanta and with the improved offense seems increasingly possible.
However, before we begin looking ahead let’s break down last Sunday’s win by looking at the four clearest takeaways from a back-and-forth game in which the Falcons finally delivered in the clutch.
