4. Atlanta has a chance to contend in a weak NFC

If there was one clear takeaway from Sunday’s games it was how weak the NFC appears to be early on this season. The Jalen Hurts-led Eagles are the only clear favorites with everyone else struggling on at least one side of the ball and appearing to be vulnerable. Even Tom Brady’s Bucs have looked shaky going 2-1 through the first three weeks with only their win over the Cowboys being a decisive victory.

Atlanta’s window to contend is cracked open even with a rebuilding roster. The flaws on all of these teams’ opens in the NFC are going to give the Falcons a chance to be a wildcard contender throughout the season.

While this may seem unrealistic considering the lack of talent on Atlanta’s roster let the fact the Eagles are current NFC favorites sink in. A team that seemed unsure they had the right quarterback and barely made the playoffs last season only to be blown off the field are the current class of the NFC.

This speaks to the issues within the conference and with Atlanta’s impressive offense they will have a chance to take advantage and become a surprise wildcard contender.
