The Atlanta Falcons won their first game this season beating Seattle on the road 27-23 in a steadying performance. Atlanta could easily be 3-0 on the season after collapsing at home against New Orleans in week one and failing to capitalize on multiple chances to complete a comeback against the Rams in week three.

Atlanta needed to prove they could finish a close game even if it came against a bad Seattle Seahawks team. Ignore their week one win and look at the fact they lost to Atlanta and a San Francisco team that was unable to move the ball against Denver in week three.

Seattle is a bad team that is going to be competing for one of next season’s top quarterback prospects. Beating them is an accomplishment for Atlanta but not one indicating where Atlanta’s season is heading.

However, before we begin looking ahead at Atlanta’s season let’s look back at the top three performers for the Falcons in Sunday’s game whose stock is pointed in the right direction.
