2. Marcus Mariota

Before we get into what Mariota did well in week three it is important to note that Mariota still missed on multiple passes and yet again turned the ball over with a chance to win the game. Thankfully for Mariota this time the Atlanta Falcons defense made a play and won in Seattle. However, aside from Mariota’s fumble, this outing was a huge step forward for the veteran quarterback.

Obviously, there is the aforementioned success with Kyle Pitts and his continued chemistry with rookie receiver Drake London. Mariota struggled badly against the Rams missing throws with regularity and turning the ball over in key spots.

This week Mariota was far more consistent in using his legs to create throws and putting the ball in the hands of his best receivers. Mariota may not be able to have a Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes-level game that decides a game, however, as long as he is healthy enough to use his legs with the playmakers Atlanta has on the roster this offense is going to be consistently dangerous.
