3 Reasons to believe the Atlanta Falcons will beat the Browns in week four
By Nick Halden
1. Jacoby Brissett
Outside of Amari Cooper, the Cleveland Browns’ passing attack is far from intimidating. They don’t have the pass catchers on their roster Atlanta does and more importantly Brissett isn’t as talented as Mariota. While Brissett has an argument as an equal passer he can’t come close to what Mariota is able to do creating outside the pocket.
If the Atlanta Falcons force Brissett to make consistent throws to win this game they will head into week five with their second victory of the season. Brissett isn’t a quarterback capable of winning high-scoring games evidenced by both his entire career and the fact the Browns lost to the Joe Flacco-led Jets.
Both of Cleveland’s wins happened against terrible quarterbacks in Baker Mayfield and Mitch Trubisky. The difference in both games was Cleveland’s ability to make plays in the running game and eat the clock. That strategy isn’t going to work against Atlanta considering they are more than happy to play keep away with the run game as well while still able to stretch the field with Kyle Pitts or Drake London. When it comes to the most important position on the field the Falcons have a distinct advantage.
