3 Atlanta Falcons that stepped up against clutch win against Browns
By Nick Halden
The Atlanta Falcons beat the Cleveland Browns in Atlanta 23-20 winning a tight game in a familiar fashion. Atlanta was clinging to a one-score lead with the opposing offense driving and Grady Jarrett yet again reminded Atlanta just how tired of losing he has become. Just as he did last week Jarrett sacked the quarterback to put the offense into desperation mode and forced a poor throw this time from Jacoby Brissett.
Dee Alford caught the desperation heave ending the game and giving the Falcons their second consecutive win on the shoulders of Grady Jarrett and their secondary. There are plenty of positive takeaways in this game for the Falcons including their ability to win without a reliable starting quarterback. Mariota finished this game 7/19 and had a key turnover yet again.
Atlanta winning a game in which their quarterback completed only seven passes shows just how hard this team is playing and how great they could be with an elite quarterback. Let’s forget Marcus Mariota for a moment, however, and focus on the Falcons players that did win this game.
