3 Atlanta Falcons that stepped up against clutch win against Browns
By Nick Halden
1. Tyler Allgeier
Caleb Huntley, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Avery Williams all had great moments for this offense and helped the Falcons limit Mariota’s touches and win this game. However, it was Allgeier who had the late run of the game to set up Atlanta’s game-winning score. He finished the game with 84-rushing yards and ran with a ferocity and finish he had lacked through the first two weeks of his season.
It appeared when the Falcons put together a scoring drive on the ground that was simply handing the ball to Allgeier or Huntley that Tyler fed off of the momentum Huntley created and used it for what would prove to be the most important run of the day that set up the game-winning field goal.
Another story that could come out of Huntley and Allgeier’s great weeks could be Atlanta once again using Patterson in a utility role. If Allgeier and Huntley continue to have this level of success Atlanta will have a great backfield problem to solve.
