3. Atlanta will be serious playoff contenders next season

The Atlanta Falcons have been much better this season than expected with an argument they should be 4-0 on the season instead of 2-2. Even if the week two comeback wasn’t completed there is no argument against the fact Atlanta should have finished off a bad Saints team and be at worst 3-1 on the season.

Regardless, they have been far better than expected and with a good quarterback would be a wildcard contender this season. With another year to develop the talent on their roster and be able to make impact moves in free agency. Add in a capable quarterback who will have Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Cordarrelle Patterson as his primary weapons, and this team is primed to take a huge leap forward both this season and next year.

They are operating this year with a dead cap hit of over $60-million and a quarterback they can’t rely on and still have a 2-2 record and should have better than that. This speaks to the leadership Atlanta has in the front office and the locker room. This team is finally giving fans reason to believe they will soon be contenders again.
