1. Make Tom Brady consistently beat man coverage

With Tom Brady losing some of his best offensive weapons over the last year (Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski), it has really forced him to connect with other targets on the field. If there is one thing Tampa Bay has shown the league this year, it’s that they are heavily reliant on their receivers (Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin). When the Bucs played Green Bay on Sunday, September 25, 2022, they struggled to score up until the last two minutes of the fourth quarter.

That was largely due to the fact that Mike Evans was suspended, and Chris Godwin and Julio Jones were hurt. If A.J. Terrell and Hayward can find a way to force the ball into the hands of Fournette or Rachaad White (who had a total of 6 carries in Sunday’s game against the Chiefs), then they may have a chance at beating their division rivals who have shown no mercy since picking up Tom Brady.

Atlanta should attempt to increase the man-to-man coverage until Brady becomes frustrated and begins to get thrown off his game. On the other hand, the Bucs are coming off two losses and will likely come out strong to prove a point. If Atlanta can get off to a great start with a large lead (in typical fashion) they’ll just have to follow up strong in the second half. Much easier said than done, but there is a path to beat Tom Brady!
