The Atlanta Falcons are sitting at 2-3 on the season as they shift their attention to the San Francisco 49ers in week six. While they are attempting to put the previous game behind them it will be understandably difficult considering they were robbed of a chance to win the game and finally beat Tom Brady.

After Brady went on a 21-0 run the defense settled back in and the offense finally started to click scoring fifteen straight to give themselves a late chance. The Falcons forced Brady to a third and medium near mid-field with little time left on the clock. Brady rolled back and attempted to evade the pressure with Grady Jarrett catching him from behind and pulling him to the turf.

To those that have watched Brady over the years perhaps the roughing the passer call that ensued wasn’t all that shocking. For Atlanta Falcons fans, however, it was a gut punch and further proof that quarterbacks in this league aren’t officiated nearly the same.

Before we completely put this game behind us let’s take a look at four lasting takeaways in Atlanta’s week five loss to Tom Brady and the officials.
