2. Atlanta’s run game

Even without Cordarrelle Patterson, this Atlanta Falcons rushing attack has a chance to play keep away and de the deciding factor in this game. While Mariota may deserve a lot of blame for how he plays the quarterback position there is no denying his dynamic and game-changing ability as a runner.

Add in Caleb Huntley, Tyler Allgeier, and Avery Williams and this Atlanta run game has a great mix of talent that will make the opposing head coach jealous.  Williams is a great change of pace back to mix into this game alongside Allgeier and Huntley who both run seeking out contact.

San Francisco has a solid run defense but their front seven is arguably worse than the group Atlanta just had a level of success against in Tampa Bay. Playing keep away and running the ball limiting what Mariota has to do for the offense is the biggest key in the Falcons being able to keep this game close and have a chance late to pull off the upset.
