The Atlanta Falcons are understandably underdogs at home against San Francisco on Sunday. Though the team has made very game-close this season there is no denying that the 49ers have the obvious roster advantage.

For the Atlanta Falcons to win this game the improbable must happen and the Falcons must make better second-half adjustments. While this may seem far-fetched considering the head coach that will be standing across from Arthur Smith on Sunday it is important to remember that Smith outcoached the Rams and Bucs in the second half of both games.

While both turned out to be losses Smith has shown he can make quick adjustments against superior rosters that give his team a chance.

The biggest key to this game will be surviving San Francisco’s first punch and forcing Jimmy G. to play in a close game. The quarterback has a long track record of failing to make the clutch plays and turning the ball over at the wrong times leading to the first and most obvious path to the Atlanta Falcons pulling off the week six upset.
