Talanoa Hufanga – Safety

If you want to see a playmaking safety on Sunday that has been compared to the Pro Football Hall of Famer Troy Polamalu, then you will get to see one. Talanoa Hufanga will be trying to ruin the day for the Atlanta Falcons.

He has been making plays as a rookie for the 49ers. If you have watched any of San Francisco’s games, then you have probably seen him make a play or two.

This is worrisome for the Falcons with Marcus Mariota as the quarterback. We know he has been prone to mistakes this season and so knowing that there is an opposing defender who already has a touchdown five weeks into his NFL career is a scary thought.

Arthur Smith needs to put Mariota in a position where he will test Hufanga as little as possible. The 49ers’ secondary is banged up, so try targeting the guys who are unproven, instead of the stud defensive back.

In the end, it will be best if the game comes down to the Atlanta Falcons running game instead of the arm of Marcus Mariota, obviously.
