3 Reasons to believe the Atlanta Falcons are NFC South favorites

2. Carolina and New Orleans both need to rebuild
Let’s start with New Orleans here a team that should have one win on the season if Atlanta coaches and plays the way they have since their week one collapse. Atlanta had New Orleans beat before poor coaching decisions and an untimely turnover tilted the game and gave New Orleans the impressive comeback win.
Putting the improbable win aside the Saints are 1-4 on the season and aren’t going to be a threat to the Falcons or anyone this season. The secondary misses Gardner-Johnson and the defensive front hasn’t been as great as in seasons past.
Add in a quarterback controversy between Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston and this team isn’t competing for anything but a top-five pick this season.
This brings us to Carolina, the Panthers are firing their coaching staff and throwing frustrated receivers out of games. This is due to the fact they are starting P.J. Walker and Jacob Eason and cannot throw the football whatsoever. It is hard to argue against this team being the worst in the league and certainly headed for a decision between Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud come draft night.
