2. Troy Andersen

Every week Troy Andersen has seen his role increase and rewarded the Falcons for making clutch tackles or forcing turnovers. The plays that Andersen is making aren’t always showing up in the stat sheet or remembered in Atlanta’s losses this season. The play he made to give the Falcons a blocked punt and a touchdown put the team in a position to complete an epic comeback against the Rams.

Two plays, in particular, stood out this week for Andersen with the obvious one being the play he made to create a turnover that would end with Terrell and Hawkins taking the ball in for the defensive score. However, just as impressive was a play later in the game that will go unnoticed by many.

Protecting a lead the Atlanta defense was playing a bit softer and Deebo took advantage shaking the defense and breaking a big play. A play that would have been much larger if not for a chase-down tackle from Andersen that saw the linebacker flash surprising speed and take a good angle on one of the most difficult men to tackle in football. It was a great moment to add to a nice list of early-season accomplishments for the impressive Atlanta rookie.
