1. D’Onta Foreman

Heading into the season who had D’Onta Foreman as a key player to slow down in a matchup for two teams that could be playing for the division? The Panthers are only a game out after beating Tampa who has a very tough matchup with Baltimore. Atlanta is currently tied with Tampa Bay and has an easy path to first place needing only the Ravens to beat the Bucs and to take care of business against the Panthers.

That starts with slowing down the biggest reason the Panthers were able to find enough points to beat Tom Brady and the Bucs. Foreman finished the day with 118-rushing yards with only 15-carries speaking to how explosive he was against a respected Tampa defense. Perhaps part of this was due to frustration from Tampa when you consider all season long they have been expected to keep their opponents under twenty with a stagnant offense consistently putting them in a bad position.

Regardless of the reasoning on Sunday Foreman was a force and Atlanta must find a way to slow him down and make the Carolina passing attack beat them consistently.
