2. Atlanta must create at least one turnover

Lost in the madness that was the second half between the Panthers and Falcons were the huge turnover and defensive touchdown that Lorenzo Carter created. Carter’s play flipped the game without it the Falcons are sitting at 3-5 on the season and the Carolina Panthers are sitting in the first place. The offense was clicking for Carolina and as we watched in the second half Atlanta had zero answers without this play Atlanta loses that game.

On Sunday the Falcons are going to have to create a similar play to steal a possession and come up with a stop against Herbert. The Chargers quarterback is far too talented not to put up points against this secondary and will have the Chargers marching up and down the field, unless Atlanta begins to control the clock and finds a way to create a turnover in the first three quarters.

The Chargers are far from the best team in the league but their quarterback and the passing game is far superior to Atlanta’s making the Falcons’ path to victory very limited.
