2. Cordarrelle Patterson

While Patterson might have managed only 44-rushing yards in his return the total doesn’t tell the story of his impact on this game. Fighting for key first downs and scoring two touchdowns Patterson was the exact boost this offense needed as they continue to make a push for the NFC South.

Now sitting at 4-5 they can be passed by the Bucs who have the division tiebreakers currently over both the Saints and Falcons. The Panthers took another awful loss ahead of their Thursday night matchup with Atlanta and at least for now are out of the division picture.

Patterson did everything he could to put his team in a position to win scoring twice and clearly having the burst he did before his injury. While the yards per carry could be a slight concern it is important to remember that this was a Chargers front well aware the Falcons didn’t want to put the ball in the air. Patterson had a great first game back one that hopefully sets up a huge Thursday night performance.
