3. Younghoe Koo

It is rare that the Atlanta Falcons kicker does anything to find fault, however, Koo missed a clutch kick on Sunday that would have likely kept this game tied. It was one that Koo makes automatically and a shocking miss for a player who was coming off hitting a game-winner against the Panthers the previous week.

While Koo missed an important kick he shouldn’t be blamed for the Atlanta loss but certainly contributed. Even with the Koo miss, the Falcons had a chance to put this team away on a fumble recovery the defense fumbled without being touched and a missed deep ball to Pitts that at worst would have put them in chip shot field goal range.

Koo owns some responsibility for Atlanta’s loss but he is far from the reason they failed to end a very winnable game against the Chargers.  In this game, however, there is no question that Koo is going to be the difference maker in a tight division matchup that came down to the kickers last time and could be decided by Koo yet again giving him a shot at redemption after a rough week nine.
