Commanders best player may make season debut vs. Atlanta Falcons
Remember back in the day when all Atlanta Falcons fans were calling for the team to tank for Ohio State defensive end Chase Young? Well, those days are well past and the Falcons got themselves a pretty good defender named A.J. Terrell, anyways.
Now, the Falcons may end up playing against Chase Young in his season debut when the teams play in Washington on Sunday. This would be the second time the Falcons would see Young in his, umm, young career (sorry I had to).
Commanders’ star may make his debut against the Atlanta Falcons in week 12
Chase Young was the second-overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and while his stats are not crazy, he has still made a big impact on the Washington Commanders’ defense. He has yet to play this season but he may be making his season debut against the Atlanta Falcons.
Last week, it was expected that Chase Young would make his debut against the Houston Texans but he wasn’t quite ready yet, so now that he has had another week to make his way back, it seems like he could end up taking on a run-heavy Falcons team.
The Commanders mentioned last week how he would need to have a great week of practice to be able to play, so hearing that he had “an impressive few days of practice” makes you think that he will be on the field.
However, as we all know, nothing is certain until the inactive’s list is released before the game, that will be when the decision is officially made.
The Falcons have likely been preparing as if he were playing. Last season when they went up against him, they virtually shut him out as he recorded three tackles, one quarterback hit, and one tackle for loss.
He will be looking to come out on fire, so it will be up to the Falcons’ offensive line to limit his impact.
