They always say hindsight is 20/20, especially in the NFL when you look back on free agency classes and draft classes, there tend to be a lot of “what ifs” packed in there. The Atlanta Falcons, as are most teams, are looking back on the past free agency classes and wondering what could have been.
For example, what could have been if we had signed a breakout veteran quarterback this year to a cheaper contract than they gave to Marcus Mariota? Or what if they had signed an experienced pass rusher that might have solved one of their major issues on defense?
Obviously, you could play this game all you want and that is exactly what we are going to do here. This will be a look at three free agents that the Atlanta Falcons should have pursued back in March.
