Jared Cook – TE

Jared Cook is another veteran tight end — perhaps a better option than Jimmy Graham — that could fill a specific role for the Atlanta Falcons and their offense. Arthur Smith actually knows him well as he was an offensive quality control coach while Cook played for the Titans back in 2012, and even before.

Cook is close to Kyle Pitts’ size at six-foot-five and 245 pounds. He has been a very productive player for a long time and actually managed to put up nearly 600 yards just last year as a member of the Los Angeles Chargers.

He would seem like a more plausible option for the Falcons compared to Graham due to his familiarity with the Falcons’ head coach and the simple fact that he has actually had respectable stats as a receiver in recent times.

Who knows if the team is looking to add someone — they probably aren’t — but Jared Cook seems like a legit option, provided that he isn’t unofficially retired already.
