Second Atlanta Falcons key: Hit the Commanders running backs before they hit you

The Washington Commanders will be looking to pound the ball with their big backs. Last week, the Atlanta Falcons, at times, struggled to get David Montgomery of the Bears on the ground. That cannot happen again as they need to be the enforcers.

Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson are six-foot-one and six-foot-two, respectively, and are both 220+ pounds. It doesn’t take rocket scientists to realize how they want to run the ball. If you don’t believe me, then go watch Brian Robinson’s highlights from when he was at Alabama.

The Falcons’ defenders need to be the ones that bring the punishment. They cannot afford to be run over or else Ron Rivera and Scott Turner will lean on the physical ground game on every play. They need to be more physical than they were last week.
