3. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are 1-11-1 on the season speaking both to where they are as a franchise and the lack of an answer at the most important position on the field. In retrospect, it is fair to wonder if the Chiefs’ epic playoff comeback three years ago broke this franchise just as the Patriots broke what looked to be a regime for the Falcons six years ago.

The Texans have rolled with Davis Mills, Jeff Driskel, and Kyle Allen at the quarterback position in a quarterback room that would leave many wondering why Cam Newton remains a free agent. It is hard to imagine the Texans couldn’t have found a better option in the draft or free agency with this trio struggling with their only consistency being turnovers and poor decisions.

Houston is a team with some great pieces and draft picks that needs another off-season to find a quarterback and add talent on both the offense and defensive lines.  It is a rough time to be a Houston fan and perhaps the only team that wouldn’t hesitate to take Marcus Mariota in as their starting quarterback.
