3 Atlanta Falcons who played well, 3 who didn’t in another one-possession loss

Whether you are rooting for the Atlanta Falcons to get a high draft pick or not, losing to the Saints is always frustrating. It was yet another one-possession loss for the team, making them 3-8 in such games.

If the Falcons could have come up clutch in a couple of those games this year, they would be leading the division. Instead, they are tied with the Panthers and Saints who are all looking up at the mighty 6-8 Buccaneers.

The division is still winnable but it will take some outside help over the final three weeks of the regular season. The likelihood of things playing out in the Falcons’ favor is slim because of the recent loss to the team that shall not be named.

Things just did not turn out in Atlanta’s favor. A blown coverage, a crucial fumble, and a shaky game plan on offense. They had a few players step up but, on the flip side, a few players did not help this team win the critical game. Let’s look at three players who excelled and three who flopped on Sunday afternoon.
