A.J. Terrell has been quiet for the Atlanta Falcons this year—even when on the field—but that might actually be a good thing. Much like offensive linemen, the best cornerbacks are often not heard from.

Terrell has made a clear impact on this defense as ever since he returned from injury, the coverage has been significantly better (still not saying it has been great). He had yet another great game against the Saints where he only gave up a single catch.

The first couple of drives for the Falcons’ rookie linebacker were really rough. He gave up a long third-down conversion to begin the game and that didn’t stop. He has been really inconsistent but it appears the team is trying to make a concerted effort to get him on the field more each week.

He also has struggled to tackle in the NFL and that showed when he was trucked by the Saints fullback on a short throw that should have resulted in a fourth down. Instead, Anderson ended up on the turf.
