Third Atlanta Falcons gift: Still, somehow, being in contention for the division

Okay, the Atlanta Falcons haven’t been great this year and do not deserve to make the playoffs per se, but there is still that chance that they end up winning the division and hosting a playoff game.

It is December, late December at that, and the Falcons are still in the mix. Not many people expected that to happen. The Falcons need to find ways to win and the Buccaneers need to lose but if things go right, we might capture an NFC South title.

Much of this could come down to the week 18 matchup between Atlanta and Tampa Bay. You cannot ask for much more than that, especially when you have lost as many games as you have this season.

The NFC South has been a gift to us. If we were in any other division, things would have been over two months ago.
