If it is clear that the Atlanta Falcons need a speedy wide receiver, then it is crystal clear that they need another defensive tackle to pair with Grady Jarrett.

Mazi Smith is the quintessential player who has athletic skills that are on the opposite side of the scale as his production. He is massive but moves like a much smaller person, yet he has done next to nothing in college.

It just comes down to how confident the coaches are in their ability to teach him. The other aspect of it is that he has been in trouble with the law this year—although it is just a misdemeanor, it is still something to be concerned about.

The Falcons could take a risk on him in the later rounds and perhaps have an impact nose tackle for the future.
