1. Bring back Keith Smith

With the run game continuing to return to the NFL suddenly fullbacks usage and viability in the league are increasing. With Arthur Smith’s run-heavy offense Keith Smith plays a much more important role one that doesn’t show up on the stat sheet. He is the perfect piece for Smith’s offense and should be brought back as long as no other team is willing to overpay.

Smith and Tyler Allgeier work well in the Atlanta backfield and will allow Cordarrelle Patterson to fill the utility role he did a season ago. While Smith isn’t irreplaceable he is a great piece in the Atlanta offense who knows this team and plays his role well Atlanta shouldn’t hesitate to bring back the veteran.

Smith will be entering his tenth season if he returns having spent his first four seasons in Dallas before spending a year with the Raiders and the last four seasons in Atlanta. Finding a fullback to replace Smith is possible, however, he should be considered one of Atlanta’s top free agents and brought back if at all possible.
