Where were the Atlanta Falcons searched for the most on Google in 2022?

The Atlanta Falcons are obviously most popular in the state of Georgia, but what about other states and countries?

First, let’s preface by saying there is one small caveat with this data, Google only gives you a number from 0-100 and it doesn’t base it on the total number of searches but instead on a higher proportion compared to the other places. If that doesn’t explain it well enough, then here is their explanation:

"Higher value means a higher proportion of all queries, not a higher absolute query count. So a tiny country where 80% of the queries are for “bananas” will get twice the score of a giant country where only 40% of the queries are for “bananas”."

Here are the top ten states who have had the most interest in the Atlanta Falcons:

  1. Georgia (100)
  2. South Carolina (15)
  3. Alabama (14)
  4. Lousiana (14)
  5. Hawaii (13)
  6. Mississippi (11)
  7. Montana (11)
  8. North Carolina (8)
  9. Tennessee (8)
  10. Delaware (8)

There are two states here that stick out like a sore thumb—Hawaii and Montana. Every other state is in the South and/or the East Coast. There is a reason for those states being interested in the Dirty Birds and it comes down to two players, Marcus Mariota and Troy Anderson.

Mariota was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Troy Anderson was born in Dillon, Montana and went to Montana State. Their home states are trying to keep tabs on their hometown heroes.
