Atlanta needs to bring pieces to help Grady Jarrett in both free agency and the draft. If Dorlus is still on the board when Atlanta’s number is called in the third round it is without question a pick the Falcons should consider. Dorlus relied on his ability to simply overpower his opponent in college to get home and make a play. To find success at the next level Dorlus will have to develop as a pass rusher and learn to win in ways other than simply using his power.

His size and ability as a run-stopper are solid enough to help improve Atlanta’s defensive line and upgrade what outside of Jarrett was a weak unit this season.  Dorlus can develop as a pass rusher and has an impressive motor and willingness to chase plays regardless of the situation. What he lacks in speed he covers in pure effort and hustle.  Dorlus isn’t changing life for the Atlanta defensive line by himself but it is a step in the right direction for an Atlanta team that needs all the help they can get.
