3. Atlanta has their running back of the future in Tyler Allgeier

Tyler Allgeier started out slowly this season but by the end of the year, there shouldn’t be any questions as to Allgeier’s future with this team.  The rookie clearly won the starting running back job and should be a large part of Atlanta’s offense in 2023 with Cordarrelle Patterson as the third down back and serving in a utility role.

Patterson is great at the running back position but there is zero question that Allgeier is more of the typical running back and should be in a starting role. This frees Patterson up to play the utility position he did his first season with the Falcons.

Using him in the backfield with Allgeier or at receiver or as a kick returner there are plenty of ways Patterson can still have an impact next season while Atlanta focuses on giving Allgeier the bulk of the carries.

His punishing run style and never give up run style has endeared him to the Atlanta fanbase and will help give reason to believe this team can take a step forward on offense next season.
