Every year Pro Football Focus releases its own All-Pro team based on the advanced grading of each and every player in the NFL. It is an interesting way to see how their system differs from everybody else’s. While the Atlanta Falcons are bound to not have the most players, they actually did manage to be represented on the list.

PFF does its first-team and second-team All-Pros like the NFL does and one Falcons player managed to land on the first team. If you have been tracking the team all year then you can probably guess who it is.

Chris Lindstrom is the lone Atlanta Falcons player on PFF’s All-Pro team

Pro Football Focus markets itself as a company that grades every snap of every player in both the NFL and College Football. They have a unique grading system based on how each player performs. Their grading system has fallen in love with Atlanta Falcons right guard, Chris Lindstrom, which landed him first-team All-Pro honors on their site.

He was joined on the first team by Andrew Thomas (LT – Giants), Joel Botonio (LG – Browns), Creed Humphrey (C – Chiefs), and Lane Johnson (RT – Eagles).

Those are some high honors as they view him as the best at his position, and it is hard to argue against that, he has been simply dominant all year. Here is what they said about him:

"Atlanta’s offensive line was one of the surprise units of the season, and Lindstrom was a dominant force at right guard. Lindstrom’s 93.1 PFF run-blocking grade was the best among NFL offensive linemen regardless of position, and he allowed just nine total pressures in 17 games for the league’s most run-happy offense."

Something worth bragging about is that the Falcons were the only team in the NFC South that had a player land on their first-team All-Pro team. Although, the Buccaneers and Saints did have two players each on the second team. Tristan Wirfs (RT) and Lavonte David (LB) were selected from the Bucs and Tyrann Mathieu (S) and Zach Wood (LS) were for the Saints.

Chris Lindstrom was also selected to the Pro Bowl that will take place in Las Vegas in a month and he deserves to also be selected to the NFL’s official All-Pro team when that is released.
