Marcus Davenport – EDGE

The Atlanta Falcons chose the wrong time to have all of this cap space as the edge rusher market is dismal this year.

Marcus Davenport likely has the highest ceiling despite the fact he didn’t even register a full sack this year. But he does have a respectable number of pressures and let’s be honest, bringing a guy with .5 sacks might just be an upgrade. With how bad this pass rush has been for years, you might as well try everything you can.

Terry Fontenot was also the right-hand man of the guy who traded up and drafted Davenport in 2018. The connection and need are there, but the only question that remains is if they would be willing to pay a premium price for a player who had .5 more sacks than you and I had this season.
