2. Give Julio Jones the chance to play meaningful games in Atlanta

Twice the Atlanta Falcons made real playoff runs with Julio Jones at the center of the off-season with what felt like real chances to contend and win for a Super Bowl. Outside of those two seasons, many of Julio’s best seasons and moments were wasted on a team with a bad defense and at times little running game.

Julio’s last two years with the team were hard to watch and left the veteran looking for a way out for a team that could give him a ring and playoff success. Atlanta is now in a position where they can pitch this to Jones with young weapons to place around him and the second most cap space in the league to spend this off-season.

Bringing Jones back to Atlanta should be possible both because of the cap space they now have and the playoff push they are getting ready to make. Even if they aren’t Super Bowl contenders the Falcons can at least do enough this off-season to give Jones a chance to finish his time with the franchise on a winning note.
