Atlanta Falcons have one player land on the AP All-Pro team
The NFL has released the first-team and second-team All-Pro teams for the 2022 NFL season and it includes one player from the Atlanta Falcons.
You can probably guess who this player is by now as he has finally been getting recognition for how incredible he is. He was recently snubbed from the NFLPA All-Pro team, was named to PFF’s All-Pro team, and ended the season as the highest-graded player in the NFL.
Atlanta Falcons RG Chris Lindstrom earns his first All-Pro honors, yet, he was still disrespected
The Atlanta Falcons’ best player this season, without a doubt, was their right guard Chris Lindstrom. He paved the way for a dominant ground game and was the best player at his position, and you could argue the best player at any position. While he was able to make the All-Pro team, he was voted to the second team, and that is disrespectful.
Just like on the NFLPA’s All-Pro team, Cowboys right guard Zack Martin took the place that should have been his. I will say the same thing I said the other day, Martin has been a great player but he was not better than Lindstrom in 2022. This just comes down to the notion that Martin has been a great player for a long time and he plays for the Cowboys.
Lindstrom’s fellow second-team All-Pro offensive linemen were Andrew Thomas (LT – Giants), Joe Thuney (LG – Chiefs), Creed Humphrey (C – Chiefs), and Tristan Wirfs (RT – Buccaneers).
The other thing that we can complain about is the fact that Keisean Nixon of the Packers and Kene Nwangwu of the Vikings were chosen over Cordarrelle Patterson as the kick returners for the two teams. Kind of insane, considering Patterson is literally the best of all time.
And, Avery Williams led the NFL in punt return average (and it wasn’t particularly close), yet, Marcus Jones of the Patriots and Kalif Raymond of the Lions were the punt returners voted on.
There is bound to be a lot of controversy in these selections, but it is still frustrating nonetheless.
