2. Atlanta Falcons-27  Seattle Seahawks-23

In week four it wasn’t realized how impressive of a win this would turn out to be for the Atlanta Falcons. Sure the Seahawks were one-and-done in the playoffs and needed help from the Lions to get in, however, they were consistently a competitive and good team in 2022 and deserving of their playoff spot.

This game for the Falcons was by far Cordarrelle Patterson’s best game of the year with Patterson finishing with 153 total yards and a clutch touchdown.  Geno Smith was clearly the best quarterback on the field that Sunday but Atlanta used their run game and a late clutch Grady Jarrett play to put away Seattle in what was viewed as a meaningless game early on.

Headed into the off-season these two teams are similar in many ways as young rosters who are both headed in the right direction in winnable divisions. Seattle and Atlanta should both be playoff teams next season with young talent and the needed draft picks and cap space to make needed moves this off-season. It is easily Atlanta’s second most impressive win of the season and one that helped stabilize early struggles for Atlanta.
