4 Star players the Atlanta Falcons could trade for this off-season
By Nick Halden
3. DeAndre Hopkins
DeAndre Hopkins seems likely to land elsewhere after Arizona had yet another rough ending to a season and Hopkins dealt with injuries yet again. Hopkins has only played in 19-games in the last two years and failed to reach 1,000 yards after reaching that mark four straight seasons. His first season with the Cardinals saw Hopkins finish the year with 1,407 yards and it appeared Murray and Hopkins would be a dynamic duo in the years to come. Poor play from the Cardinals roster and injuries derailed this team and it would be surprising not to see Hopkins traded this off-season.
If the Falcons opt not to bring in a top quarterback and are serious about building around Desmond Ridder they will have to surround the quarterback with weapons. Bringing in Hopkins and signing another veteran receiver in free agency would be a huge step in that direction. If Atlanta is going forward with Ridder this is a great move and one they should strongly consider when you look at the lack of clear stars at the position in the draft and free agency.
