If the Atlanta Falcons are serious about moving forward with Desmond Ridder as their starting quarterback, the priorities of the off-season are clear. After improving the defense and deciding what Kaleb McGary’s future is the team needs to build around Ridder bringing in a myriad of options at receiver, running back, and tight end.

The Atlanta Falcons should learn from San Francisco who has put together a team that can win with any capable quarterback.

The Atlanta Falcons simply need to add a depth piece at running back and bring in a secondary tight end behind Kyle Pitts. When it comes to the receiver position, however, the Falcons need to add at least three legitimate targets with Drake London the only real option under contract next season.

It wouldn’t be shocking to see the Falcons add talent at the position in the draft or in a trade. Adding a second starting option at receiver Atlanta should bring in a veteran capable of helping Ridder and Drake London in their development. Looking at free agency and considering Atlanta’s cap space five clear options would fit both Arthur Smith’s system and help Atlanta’s young roster.
