2. Julio Jones

Joining forces with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay wasn’t enough to earn Julio an elusive Super Bowl ring as the veteran continued to watch his numbers go in the wrong direction. There are still flashes of the old Julio when Jones is healthy enough to take the field. Though at this point in his career that is a rarity in itself.

So why bring Jones back to Atlanta? Atlanta isn’t bringing Julio back to be the player that he once was but to serve a veteran role. Bringing Jones in as the third receiver and allowing him plenty of time off the field to attempt to stay healthy is a great move for both sides.

Jones is unlikely to find a starting job at this point in his career and returning to Atlanta after two rough seasons makes sense for both sides. Jones can likely be signed for a bargain and would offer London a great resource and Ridder a veteran target that will have the cover of playing behind Pitts and London in a run-heavy offense.
