Already this off-season the Atlanta Falcons have been named as a possible destination for star quarterback Lamar Jackson. While this seems increasingly unlikely with Baltimore making the intentions to keep Jackson clear it is still possible considering the way the Falcons have handled the quarterback position.

Whether it was the terrible decision to chase Deshaun Watson or the surprising move of sticking with Marcus Mariota as the starter for as long as they did the Falcons’ quarterback decisions have been anything but predictable.

Why the Falcons would be interested in bringing Jackson to Atlanta is obvious the MVP is immensely talented and would make the Falcons instant division favorites. While he isn’t the best passer in the league there has never been a quarterback able to scramble quite like Lamar.

Having the quarterback on the Atlanta roster would change the outlook and perspective of the entire team. However, as tempting as chasing Jackson might be for the Falcons the red flags of making a potential trade are far too concerning not to give Atlanta pause at making a blockbuster deal.
