Let’s be clear from the start here the best move for the Atlanta Falcons as an offense and a franchise as a whole are to build around Desmond Ridder. Four games aren’t enough to know how great Ridder is capable of being.  Desmond showed improvement in each of his four games taking a clear step forward each week.

Atlanta’s best move would be to follow the path San Franciso has with the Falcons’ former offensive coordinator. Build an all-star team of skilled players and build in both trenches and you will compete no matter who your quarterback is.

With Tyler Allgeier, Cordarrelle Patterson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts all still under contract for next season the building blocks are already in place. Atlanta simply needs to bring in more talent at receiver and land one more top pass catcher and Ridder will be put in a position to succeed in a run-heavy offense.

This is Atlanta’s best path and the move Terry Fontenot should make, however, if recent history tells us anything it seems very possible Ridder isn’t under center on opening weekend for Atlanta.
