3. Atlanta needs depth at the receiver

Whether through the draft or free agency, the Falcons need a legitimate starting option at receiver alongside Drake London. Atlanta’s current roster has Frank Darby as their second receiver with the majority of this season’s options hitting free agency. Even after adding a second option the Falcons need 3-4 receivers added to the roster to give the team depth they have lacked for two years.

Over the last two years, Atlanta has lost Russell Gage, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley. That is a lot of production to lose even with Atlanta shifting their philosophy to a run-first team. Atlanta needs 3-4 guys they can count on at the position something they have lacked over the last two years.

Whether it is drafting a second option and reuniting with Julio Jones and bringing in another veteran option or trading for a top receiver the Falcons need more talent and depth at the position. After adding talent at edge rusher and along the defensive line the receiver position is clearly the weakest group on the roster.
