The Atlanta Falcons front office has done an amazing job wiping away four years of poor decisions and getting rid of poor contracts. Outside of Deion Jones the Falcons will have all of the big contracts that had been weighing down their cap space off the books this off-season.

Atlanta is sitting well over $70 million in open cap space with a myriad of roster needs. Looking at the top three cap hits scheduled for 2023 it is obvious that Atlatna will cut one of their scheduled top three cap hits to open up over $80 million and give the team the ability to add yet another impact player in free agency.

The majority of Atlanta’s cap is taken up by rookie deals and players on inexpensive contracts Atlanta can easily move off of if needed. Atlanta’s path forward is obvious with three cuts that need to be made this off-season starting with Atlanta’s third largest cap hit.
