2. Jalen Carter

The only possibility of the Atlanta Falcons drafting Carter is if all three quarterbacks and Will Anderson Jr. are all off the board in the first six picks of the draft. If that happens there is a real chance the Falcons could trade up a spot or two to bring in a dominant college player who would pair perfectly with Grady Jarrett.

Carter has an argument as the best prospect in this year’s draft and should be off the board within the first three picks of the draft. However, with the league’s focus on quarterbacks and edge rushers, Carter could slip in the draft and give Atlanta the chance to land the missing piece on their defensive line.

The second-best option is for the Falcons to sign Payne in free agency and use their first-round pick to address the pass rush or add another weapon for Desmond Ridder. Atlanta drafting a Georgia Bulldog and arguably the best player in this year’s class would be a huge win.
