3 Blockbuster Atlanta Falcons off-season trade targets
By Nick Halden
3. Brandin Cooks
Brandin Cooks has made it clear that he is ready for his time with the Houston Texans to end. One can’t blame Cooks for wanting to leave Houston and the absolute dysfunctional franchise that they have become over the last three seasons. It is a team that has never recovered from their playoff collapse to Patrick Mahomes after jumping out to a huge first half lead and completely collapsing.
Cooks will be looking for a new home this off-season and well within Atlanta’s price range. While Cooks is far from Hopkins in skill level it would be a huge addition and give Ridder a true second option at the receiver position behind Drake London.
There is the concern that Cooks seems to fail to stick anywhere he has been whether it is the Saints, Texans, or Patriots wherever Cooks goes a trade quickly follows. On a two-year contract, however, Atlanta should chance it if they cannot land a more talented player this off-season.
