The Atlanta Falcons are entering what feels to be the biggest off-season since their infamous Super Bowl appearance. Over the next two months, the biggest decision for the Falcons will be whether to build around Desmond Ridder and focus on a complete roster or attempt to swing big at the position.
Atlanta’s best path forward is building around Ridder unless they can land a top quarterback without giving up all the financial and draft freedom, they have spent the last two years acquiring. Without a clear upgrade falling into their lap Atlanta should focus their efforts on the rest of the roster and finding a backup to push Ridder throughout camp and the preseason.
With this comes a risk, however, that a team within the division makes a splashy move that pushes them past Atlanta in the division race. With a number of potential blockbuster deals set for the off-season, there are three players that stand out Falcons hope not to see land in an NFC South that is clearly up for grabs this off-season with Atlanta and Carolina on the inside track.
