Kicker:

  • Younghoe Koo

Younghoe Koo is here to stay after the Atlanta Falcons brought him back last offseason with a brand new contract.

He is an icon and one of the best kickers in the NFL. He had another great season, especially following the first quarter of the season. Just like we did with Bradley Pinion, we will skim through some of Koo’s stats and where they rank (minimum 20 field goal attempts – 32 qualified).

  • FG attempted: 37 (T3rd)
  • FG made: 32 (T5th)
  • Long: 54 (T22nd)
  • FG %: 86.5% (T13th)
  • FG made 50+: 7 (T7th)
  • PAT attempted: 35 (T14th)
  • PAT made: 33 (T14th)
  • PAT %: 94.3% (T15th)

This is pretty self explanatory. The rankings might seem underwhelming but there really isn’t much separating Koo from being in the top five in most of those statistics. If we do want to nitpick him then we would like to see the PAT percentage (which he ironically tied Brett Maher in) at 100%, as well as the field goal percentage to be a bit higher.

It wasn’t his absolute best year but there is nothing to worry about.
