3. C.J. Gardner-Johnson

Why New Orleans traded Gardner-Johnson remains a mystery when you consider the impact, he has had on the Super Bowl bound Eagles. C.J. isn’t a popular player in Atlanta for stomping on the Falcon logo leaning into the rivalry that Drew Brees Saints won far too often. Bringing him to Atlanta won’t be a popular move for some but Gardner-Johnson’s impact would quickly win over Atlanta fans.

Bringing Gardner-Johnson in is a move that will be costly but should solidify the secondary. Whether it is Jessie Bates or Gardner-Johnson Atlanta needs to make one last impact move in the secondary to support their young talent and A.J. Terrell. Casey Hayward seems to be a very possible cap causality considering his age and coming off of a serious injury. Gardner-Johnson would be a huge help for Ryan Nielsen and provide a bit of spark this defense is clearly lacking.

Great defenses have an edge and attitude about them the Atlanta Falcons obviously don’t C.J. brings a level of that and the talent to back it up.
